A graffiti of a kitten by unidentified British artist Banksy seen in the city of Beit Hanoun on February 18, 2015. The British artist released a video on 26 February despicting life in the Gaza Strip where he showed different graffiti that the artist made during a trip. About the graffiti of the kitten Banksy explains on his website: “A local man came up and said ‘Please â what does this mean?’ I explained I wanted to highlight the destruction in Gaza by posting photos on my website â but on the Internet people only look at pictures of kittens.”
The graffiti appears in one of the devastated quarter of Beit Hanoun and several families live around in makeshifts shelters. Around 100,000 homes were destroyed or heavily damaged during last Israeli offensive of summer 2014.
